About the Artist
I have a website, maureenursery.com, and post new work on it as well as on facebook.
I have a large studio with good lighting, fluorescent and windows for daylight. The studio is attached to the house my husband designed for the lot we chose through the Artist Relocation Program.
About the Work
My primary medium is acrylic paints and other other water-based media. I like the freedom of expression that is possible with acrylic paint on large canvases. In contrast, the drawings in ink are made with fine point mechanical pens. Those drawings demand focus and concentration, the opposite of of making strokes and gestures in paint that can be painted over or altered.
